Got Art? Create Nyack, Win $300

Nyack Chamber Of CommerceClose your eyes and picture the Nyack Chamber of Commerce. If you have an image — one that you can create in a jpg, tiff, pdf, or png format — you could be in the running for a $300 prize from the Nyack Chamber of Commerce. The chamber is looking for an emblem-type logo that will represent the “pro-business, pro-member and pro-Nyack” mission of the business organization and they are willing to pay the winner of this commercial art bake-off for their design.

“Our vision for Nyack is a thriving business district centered around an eclectic mix of exciting, funky and creative services, retail stores, shops, performance venues, bars and restaurants,” says Nyack Chamber President Scott Baird. “We want a logo that will capture and convey that positive energy.”

Baird says the chamber works to bring people to Nyack to patronize local businesses, foster a sense of community, vitalize the business district, encourage people to start businesses here, and advocate on behalf of local business interests. The deadline to submit an entry is May 3. The winning design will be used in all marketing and chamber communications including business cards, letterheads, brochures, merchandise and signage. It will also be incorporated into all online and TV advertising.
