Weigh In on The Hook, Rockland Lake Master Plan

RocklandLakePlaque201110Before there were refrigerators, Rockland Lake’s winter ice kept drinks cold in New York City throughout the summer. Prior to its designation as a New York State Park, Nyack Beach State Park was scarred by quarrying. What will the future hold for these two parks? You can help shape it on March 27 at 7p at a public hearing to review the Draft Master Plan for Rockland Lake, Hook Mountain, Nyack Beach, and Haverstraw Beach State Parks.

You can review the plan prior to the meeting online.

The meeting will be held at Rockland Lake State Park Championship Golf Course Clubhouse on Championship Road in Congers, NY on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 7p. The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) Palisades Region staff will make a brief presentation about the master plan and receive public comments at this meeting.

Written comments can be emailed to Rockland.Plan@parks.ny.gov by April 10, 2013 to:
