Snow Shovel Alert: NWS says 8-12 Inches Today

National Weather Service 201303The National Weather Service has extended its Winter Storm Warning until 1p today predicting up to a foot of snow in and around Nyack.

The interior portions of the Lower Hudson Valley and interior NE New Jersey can expect accumulations of 8 to 12 inches. Temperatures will be in lower 30s. Winds north 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Accumulating snow and poor visibilities will lead to difficult travel conditions. The heavy wet snow combined with gusty winds could lead to a few downed tree branches and power lines.
