Killing Off The Cobra’s On Main Street

The metal ‘€œcobra head’€ lights which arch out over Main Street  — the ones which could pass for distant relatives to the invading Martians in War Of The Worlds — have served the village well. But now that the new streetscape lighting has been installed, it’s time to take down the old and turn on the new.

O&R will begin to remove the legacy lamps from Franklin Street to Broadway on Main Street beginning on Mon Sept 17 at 9:30a.  To allow the crews to work without obstructions, the North side of Main Street will be closed to parking on Monday. The South side will be closed on Tuesday for pole removal.
