Nyack, Dec 12 9:45a — If you are a FiOS having trouble connecting to *some* Internet sites over the past 24 hours, you’re not alone. Verizon’s Internet service is experiencing technical difficulties which may create “time outs” (page not found) conditions when you visit some Websites. Email, ip Phones (such as Vonage and Magic Jack), FTP and other services don’t seem to be affected.
Verizon customer service suggests that you visit FiOSHelp.Verizon.com for a status update — although there isn’t any updated information there at this time. You can also contact FiOS on Twitter at @VerizonSupport. (currently, Twitter is one of the sites that appears “offline” to Verizon customers. Maybe go mobile instead?)
