Know An Outstanding Yout(h)? Tell Rock Co

Rockland Youth Bureau is seeking nominations for the 32nd Annual Youth Forum and Awards Dinner for young adults and adult volunteers who have demonstrated a commitment to volunteer service in our community.

  • Two young people will be selected to receive the $1,000 Joseph A. Myers Service to Youth Award for volunteer community service. The award is open to both college focused and non-college bound young adults.  Nominees will have provided two years of consistent service to one or more Rockland County organizations which aren’t related to scholastic achievement or school activities.
  • Exceptional volunteer community service by an adult volunteer will be recognized by the Father F. Peter Malet Award.  The recipient will be selected for their work on behalf of children, youth and families.
  • Rockland County businesses that have supported schools, not-for-profits and/or government departments on behalf of children, youth and families can be nominated for the The Youth Forum Business Award.
  • One individual will be selected for the The Dennis J. Fleming Award for their long-term commitment and advocacy efforts on behalf of children and youth.

All awards will be presented at the Annual Youth Forum and Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 10, 2012.

Awards are made possible by private contributions from local businesses and individuals throughout Rockland County.
