Election 2011: T-Minus 24 Hours To Counting

Nyack, Nov 7 — The long road to Election Day ends tomorrow for local candidates in Nyack, Orangetown, Clarkstown and Rockland County.

In Nyack, there’s a mayor’s race and two uncontested trustee contests. Orangetown and Clarkstown elect a Town Supervisor and Town Council members. All 17 seats in the Rockland County legislature are up for grabs as well as county wide races for Sheriff and Family Court Judge.

NyackNewsAndViews offered more than twenty candidates on the ballot in Nyack the opportunity to submit a “closing statement” for voters before the Tuesday Nov 8 General Election.

Here are a list of races with links to the closing statements received from participating candidates. Names are listed in random order.

    : Paul Chiaramonte (R), Karen Riley (Working Families),  Sherri Eisenpress (D)
    Sheriff
    : Louis Falco (D), Matthew Brennan (R),  Tim O’Neill (Working Families, Conservative)

Polls are open on Tuesday Nov 8 from 6a to 9p. To find out where you can vote, visit the Rockland County Board of Elections.
