Psycho Scrubbed, Again (See You in September?)

Tonight’s Scheduled Outdoor Screening of Hitchcock’s Psycho
Has Been Canceled Due To Threatening Weather

by Kris Burns

Based on the current weather prediction, we just do not feel comfortable with the risk of setting up expensive equipment and a radio antenna with thunderstorms so likely during tonight’s scheduled screening of Psycho in downtown Nyack.

Forecast for tonight: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 9pm, then a strong chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 9pm and 1am. Storms more numerous this evening. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

HOWEVER, rather than canceling it all together,  the wonderful people at Nyack Village Hall (and many of you) have convinced me to re-schedule this “happening” as a “say goodbye to summer” event in September- maybe even on a Friday night this time.

We’ll spend this week working out all the details and post a new date by the beginning of next week. Stay tuned for details. See you in September!
