Super commuters who purchased SuperSaver Ticket strips for riding the TZx and TOR buses prior to the rate increase earlier this month can exchange their old strips for new tickets at two Rockland locations this week before their old tickets expire on June 5.
The Rockland County Department of Public Transportation will offer on-site SuperSaver Ticket strip exchanges at two locations this week to enable riders to exchange old tickets at the SuperSaver Ticket Van. On Wednesday, June 1 look for the mobile ticket center at the Spring Valley Transit Center from 7a-12n and on Thursday, June 2 at the Palisades Center Macy’s Bus Stop from 3p-7p.
Old SuperSaver tickets will be accepted on TOR, TAPPAN ZEExpress (TZx), Clarkstown MiniTrans and Spring Valley Jitney buses through Sunday, June 5. After that date, the old SuperSaver tickets will be discontinued and no longer valid. However, full strips of the discontinued tickets may be exchanged for a cost of $2.
Beginning on Monday, June 6, only new SuperSaver tickets will be accepted on TOR, TZx, Clarkstown MiniTrans and Spring Valley Jitney buses. SuperSaver tickets are now sold in strips of 10 tickets for $11.
Full strips of the discontinued tickets may also be exchanged at the Department of Public Transportation at the Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center, Building T. For more information visit the Rockland County Dept of Transportation or call 845-364-3333.
