NYS Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee (D-Suffern)
Albany, June 14 — Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee (D-Suffern) will be joining the NYS Democrat leadership in Albany, having been named Secretary of the Majority Conference.
‘€œI accept it with a deep commitment to not only our conference’s cause, but to ensuring the people of Hudson Valley have a strong voice at the highest levels of state government.’€
Jaffee will help develop strategy, steer policy, and advance the overall interest and goals of the Democratic conference and its members.
The appointment was part of a shakeup in leadership positions announced by Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver.
