Who’s Running Now?

Nyack, June 18 — Three declared candidates for trustee and two contenders for mayor have announced their intentions to run in the Democratic primary in September.

Incumbent Doug Foster will seek re-election to the Village Board. He’ll be challenged by former Trustee Marie Lorenzini and business owner Marianne Olive. Two years ago, both Olive and Lorenzini ran for mayor but were defeated in the primary by current Mayor Richard Kavesh.

Trustee Jen Laird White will challenge Kavesh in the Mayoral Primary.

Candidates seeking to get on the ballot for the September primary must file a petition with 117 signatures by July 11.
