Orangetown Dem Declines To Re-Run

Orangetown Councilman Michael Maturo has decided not to run for re-election when his term expires in December 2011. “I’m deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to serve the people of Orangetown for almost four years,’€ he says.

Maturo points to the strong community support in Orangetown as the key to successful initiatives during his term such as the town’s golf enterprise and environmental and youth initiatives.

‘€œAs many know, I’ve been enthusiastically involved in the affairs of Orangetown but I know that it is time for me to put my full effort into my professional passion for technology,’€ he says.
