“Race To Nowhere” in Nyack

On Wednesday, April 13 come see Race to Nowhere, a thought-provoking film on school reform. Vicki Abeles’ documentary reveals the consequences of current policies that stress rigorous homeowork, testing, performance and competition, rather than meaningful and alternative teaching methods.

Nyack High School is joining hundreds of theaters, schools, and organizations nationwide in showing the film, which has become a centerpiece for raising awareness and galvanizing change.
