White Irish Drinkers at the Nyack Center

Come to the Nyack Center on Wed 1/19 at 8p for a gritty, moving coming of age story about making hard choices to realize your dreams. Rivertown Film presents a special pre-release screening of White Irish Drinkers, an independent film funded, written and directed by Rockland County resident John Gray. A Q&A with the director follows the screening.

The film follows the different paths of two brothers in Brooklyn neighborhood, not too different from where Grey himself grew up. One is a petty thief and the other a budding artist, both seeking a chance to break away from their working class neighborhood life with their alcoholic father and their long-suffering mother. With Karen Allen (of Animal House and Indiana Jones fame) and Peter Riegert (from Animal House and Crossing Delancey).
