“Client 9,” aka Gov. Spitzer, Wed at Rivertown Film

Rivertown Film brings the story of former NYS governor and CNN news host Eliot Spitzer to Nyack Center Wed night at 8p in a screening of “Client 9.” The former NYS Attorney General, once known as ‘€œThe Sheriff of Wall Street’€ for prosecuting crimes committed by financial institutions, resigned as governor of New York in 2008 after news reports accused him of patronizing high-priced prostitutes. Client 9 goes beyond the hubris-and-sex story to look at how financial-world power brokers may have played a role in Spitzer’s political demise. Rivertown will host a post-screening discussion with Director Alex Gibney and Francis Wilkinson, Executive Editor of The Week. In 2008 Gibney won an Oscar for his  documentary, ‘€œTaxi to the Dark Side.’€ Tickets to the screening are $10/General Admission, $8/Students, Seniors and General Members, and $7/Student and Senior Members. Tickets can be purchased in advance via Rivertown’s website, www.rivertownfilm.org , by calling (800) 838-3006, or at the door. For more information, visit www.rivertownfilm.org.
