Tappan Zee Express: Someone is Listening

by Jeffrey Kutler

The Tappan Zee Express is a Rockland County commuter bus service which is synchronized with Metro North train departures and arrivals in Tarrytown. A customized online schedule is available at tzxBus.com. You can also download a pdf of all routes available from the Rockland County Dept of Transportation.

To all the commuters on the early morning TZX runs, I lodged a complaint yesterday, 10/5) about late running times and I received the following (surprisingly) positive response:

Mr Kutler,

Your email resulted in a review of running times of the 645a and 708a trips from Suffern. Effective 10/17 those trips will leave Suffern 5 minutes earlier, at 640a and 703a respectively.  We believe this change will improve the on-time performance of those trips.

I would encourage others to write to the Dept and thank them: TransitHelp@co.rockland.ny.us
