The Village Board is meeting tomorrow for a special meeting tomorrow evening at 7pm in Village Hall. The Board must meet immediately to avoid missing an opportunity to take advantage of federal dollars and lucky timing with some heavy equipment.
The Village will be able to clear the channel of storm debris and to clear the destroyed barge from the Marina for a greatly reduced fee utilizing the heavy equipment already in place at the Clermont property. As some of the damage is directly related to the Spring storm, Steve Knowlton and Jim Politi have met with Federal and state officials and have determined that part of the already dramatically reduced costs associated with the cleanup will be defrayed by federal disaster funds.
