Upper Nyack Water Advisory Ends

Upper Nyack, July 2, 7:30p — United Water and the Rockland County Department of Health have ended the five day “boil water” advisory that had been in effect since June 28.

The boil water advisory was issued after a shutdown at the Lake Deforest Treatment Plant on Monday because of lowered levels of dissolved oxygen in Lake Deforest Reservoir. Customers were advised to boil water while United Water completed tests to confirm that water was safe to drink.

Consumers with questions should call United Water at 845-623-1500 and press menu option 2.
