Fireworks On The Fourth In Nyack

by Richard Kavesh

Nyack, July 4, 2010 — The Village of Nyack threw a spectacular and amazing red, white, and blue 234th birthday party for the USA on the shores of the Hudson River at Memorial Park on Sunday night.

A crowd estimated at more than 3,000 turned out for Nyack’s 21st Independence Day fireworks, which were sponsored this year and last by the newest member of Nyack’s corporate family, Provident Bank.

Thanks to everyone who came to Nyack to celebrate with us and special thanks to Provident for being such a great corporate citizen.

For me, the fireworks (and the gelato at Turiello’s afterwards!) were the perfect culmination of my most ‘€œall-American’€ July 4th ever, which began early Sunday morning with a trip to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
