Speak Up. Speak Out! Speak…Better.

by Michael Friedlander

When we’re speaking, we’re almost always speaking in public: Business meetings, wedding toasts, sales presentations, conference calls, networking meetings, job interviews, board meetings, book clubs and more’€¦ all public speaking.

Anyone who wants more poise, confidence and effectiveness in their spoken communications should consider Toastmasters. Nyack Toastmasters, a new club dedicated to helping its members achieve those goals meet the second and fourth Thursdays at the Nyack Library, beginning July 8.
The club invites everyone to its demonstration meeting to learn more:

Nyack Toastmasters Demonstration Meeting
The Nyack Library
59 South Broadway, Nyack NY 10960
Thursday, June 24, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Please RSVP to info@nyacktoastmasters.org.

Toastmasters provides an inexpensive, convenient and low-stress environment for developing speaking, listening and thinking skills. When you join Toastmasters, you join over 250,000 other people who also want to improve their lives by enhancing their verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Michael and Bette Friedlander, residents of Nyack since October 2008 and Toastmasters since 2003, will be the sponsors for Nyack Toastmasters. Michael and Bette are current members of Sunset Toastmasters in Pearl River. They own and operate Cowles Graphic Design in Nyack.

Nyack People & Places, a weekly series that features photos and profiles of citizens and scenes near Nyack, NY, is sponsored by Sun River Health.
