Nine Percent Increase For Nyack?

Nyack’s Mayor and Village Board are proposing a nearly nine percent tax increase as part of the 2010-2011 village budget to help cover shrinking revenues and a growing deficit including more than $250,000 in unpaid bills.

Please attend a  public hearing  at 6p Thursday as the Village Board is expected to approve the budget after the hearing. A copy of the budget is available at nyack-ny.gov.

Mayor Kavesh told the Journal News, “Everything is on the table on Thursday night.”
