A Saturday Walk In The Woods

Take a walk in the woods on Sat May 1 with a seasoned Rockland County trail guide docent at Kennedy Dells Park in New City. The two-hour walk will be led by Frank Kemmer who will discuss bird migration, the natural environment, habitat diversity, and other points of interest such as the local history of the park.

Kennedy Dells Park is located at 355 North Main Street in New City next to Street Community Center. Walkers should meet in the parking area.

The next walk will take place at Buttermilk Falls on Sunday, May 23rd at 9a. Walks are sponsored by the Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources, the Rockland County Youth Bureau’s AmeriCorps program and the Rockland County Department of Health’s Steps to a Healthier Rockland program.
