Nyack’s Library will close to the public on Monday 4/12 as staff prepare its new space before reconfiguring its old space. The two week move-in is the next-to-last stage of a three-year $9 million expansion project. The current space will undergo renovation after reading and other materials have been moved to the new space.
Although your taxes are still due on April 15th, library fines are suspended until April 26 when the library reopens. No overdue fines will accrue on materials during this time. You can still return books and other checked-out materials during the move-in period.
Carnegie Room Concerts and selected other activities will continue at the library during this period. Also, the AARP Tax Aide will be in the Carnegie Room on April 12 from 10a to 2p. For more information, visit the library’s event page.
Nyack Library patrons are encouraged to visit the Valley Cottage Library for the next two weeks.
