What Kids Need To Hear From YOU About Sex

by Terri Kayden

Blue Rock School invites the community to a talk, “What Kids Need To Hear From YOU About Sex,” at Thursday, 4/22 from 7-9p. Dr. Maxwell, practicing clinical psychologist, educator and award-winning author will be the featured speaker.

Children are overwhelmed with information and stimulation by a culture that pushes them to be consummate consumers and rewards them for being sexy before puberty begins. Parents we can be proactive and give children a way of thinking about all that they will see and hear from a framework that is in alignment with their values and give them a positive, healthy, integrated understanding of sexuality.

Dr. Maxwell’s work has been featured in TIME Magazine, US News and World Report, Working Mother, Family Circle, The Boston Globe, NPR, Oprah and Friends and Fox News.

Seating is limited. Reservations are required by calling at 845-627-0234. Price: $10 per person.

Blue Rock School is located at 110 Demarest Mill Road (off Germonds Rd.), West Nyack.
