Grammy winning classical guitarist Sharon Isbin comes to Nyack on Friday May 7 for a 7:30p performance at The First Reformed Church. Sharon Isbin received a 2010 Grammy award for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance (without orchestra) for her CD Journey to the New World (Sony). She is the first guitarist in 43 years to receive a 2nd classical Grammy.
Hailed as “the pre-eminent guitarist of our time,”, Isbin will play selections from her Journey to the New World CD and other folk inspired works from Spain, Paraguay, and China.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door for the 7:30p performance on Friday 5/7 at The First Reformed Church, 18 South Broadway in Nyack.
