The UNION Restaurant and Bar Latino in Haverstraw is hoping to serve 5,000 free meals from March 1-3.
UNION invites Rockland County residents to a complimentary buffet meal from 4:30p ‘€“ 8p. The restaurant will not be open for regular business during the event.
In 2009, Chef David Martinez & Mr. Paulo Feteira launched their we care Foundation as a way of giving back and saying ‘€˜thank you’ to the community. ‘€œSo many of our friends and neighbors are still affected by the ongoing economic crisis and we thought this was a perfect opportunity to show our gratitude,’€ says Martinez.
The UNION Restaurant and Bar Latino is located at 22 New Main St. (between Broadway & Maple Ave in Haverstraw. Anyone who wants to volunteer to help at the event should contact Emily Dominguez at 845-947-8532.
