The Rockland Bicycling Club kicks off their every Thursday “social” ride on April 1 at 5:30p. It’s the perfect ride for both the occasional cyclist (think coaster brakes, front basket and maybe a banana seat with baseball cards in the spokes) and the “hammer head” biker (whose bike and accessories probably cost more than your first car).
Everyone (including children) is welcome on this “D to C level ‘No Drop’ ride. (translation: it’s slow, and the ride leader promises to keep the group together and not leave anyone in the dust.) The ride Rockland Lake with the slower riders taking the inner path and the faster cyclists circling clockwise on the outer loop road.
The ride meets in the SOUTH parking lot of Rockland Lake (the lot closest to Nyack on Route 9W). For more information, visit RocklandBike.org
