Not Cold Enough Fer Ya? Take The Plunge.

If you haven’t had enough of the ice and snow this winter, then maybe you should jump in the river. That’s exactly what 70 Penguin Plunge participants will do on Sunday 2/28 at 12n at Memorial Park in Nyack.

The Penguin Plunge is an annual fundraiser for children with serious illnesses.  This year’s recipients are two pediatric cancer patients, 11-year old Mickey Reeves from Tappan and Sean DePatto, a 7-year old from Stony Point. “Compared to what these two boys go through, this icy, snowy, slushy mess is a piece of cake,” says event organizer Barbara Noyes.

There will be food, music, and entertainment and T-shirts sold to commemorate the event. The penguins will take their plunges at about 1:30p.
