A “Sour Kraut” Is Coming To Nyack

by Marianne Olive

“Sour Kraut,” an authentic German restaurant, is coming soon to Nyack. Located at 118 Main Street, we’ll offer authentic German fare including:

Jaegerschnitzel, Pepperschnitzel, Zigeunerschnitzel, Weinerschnitzel, Rahmschnitzel, Weinerwurst, Bratwurst, Currywurst, Chicken-brat, Leiberkaes, Doener Kabob, German burger, German hot dog, German meatball, Spaetzle, Potato pancakes, German potato salad, German home fries, Belgium  fries, Red Cabbage, Sour Kraut, warm pretzel, soups and salads. Sour Braten will be on special board along with many seasonal German dishes.  The food will be freshly made and top quality with all delicious homemade sauces.

Seasonally organic herbs and vegetables will come directly from my garden along with honey from my honey bees. We will certainly accommodate vegetarians and vegans with many items that will suit their diet.

We will feature only German beers and wines so if you have a favorite, do drop in to visit me at Olive’s or Hairs Marianne and let me know any suggestions you have.

We will have three rotating German desserts, all homemade.

The prices will suit everyone’s budget and the hours of operation will be extended to accommodate all. Eat in or take out with quick service and possibly delivery service.

So keep your eyes peeled for “Sour Kraut,” the newest addition to Nyack’s culinary delights.
