Nyack Library Trustee Runoff Election

By: Roger Seiler

Due to a difference of only two votes for two candidates in the Nyack Library’s election of four trustees yesterday, two recounts of the votes were performed at the library this afternoon. The results of these recounts were that the votes for Michael Growney and Deidre O’Hagan are tied at 107.

Therefore, the Library Board will have a special meeting on Thursday evening at 6 pm to authorize the holding of a public runoff election between these two candidates for one trustee position.

The runoff election will probably be held on Monday, January 25th at the Nyack Library, but this date is subject to official determination by the Board.  The official runoff date will be posted here by Friday morning, January 15th.

President, Nyack Library Board of Trustees
