Keyhan Farian, Nyack Physician, Dies at 80

Dr. Keyhan Farian, an 80 year old resident of  Nyack, was struck by a car and killed while walking on North Broadway on Tuesday. The Journal News reports that Dr. Farian, born and raised in Iran, dedicated 40 years of her medical career working with families at Lincoln Hospital in the South Bronx. She had lived in Nyack for 33 years.

Clarkstown Police have charged Mahmoud Ibrahim of Valley Cottage with permitting unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle for allowing his 16-year old daughter to drive with a learner’s permit without a licensed driver in the car.

Dr. Farian’s son, Richard Anderson, told the Journal News the situation was “tragic all around.”
