Blue Rock School Receives Grant

Blue Rock School in West Nyack received a grant through the Arts Council of Rockland for a project titled “Symbiosis in Art & Science.” Middle school teacher Meredith Kates and Ruth Waldman, a local artist, will work with students in scientific experiments and mixed-media sculpture to learn about symbiosis and how it is applied in both art and science.

The program is funded by the Arts Education Grants Program of the Arts Council of Rockland and the Arts-in-Education Program of the New York State Council on the Arts.
