Last chance – Sign up for CDBG Money!

cdbg-checkBy Marilyn Kaskel

If you are a non-profit, or have a great idea on behalf of the village, it’s the “last call” for applications for federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) money.

Nyack’s CDBG Committee has extended its deadline until Wednesday, December 23rd. Please make sure that all grants go to the Village Clerk, Mary White (where you can also pick up an application).

Grants are available for projects sponsored by the village or non-profits for low income, handicapped and seniors in the Village of Nyack.

The federal department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) distributes grant funds each year for its Community Dev. Block Grant (CDBG) program.  Rockland County administers this grant and  determines who shares the spoils each year.

Marilyn is the chair of the CDBG Committee
