If you commute on TOR or TZx buses, Columbus Day is just another Monday. The Tappan Zee Express and Transport of Rockland will operate on normal schedules.
But Rockland Coach, USA Shortline, Spring Valley Jitney and TRIPS riders should be aware of the following changes on Columbus Day:
- Coach USA Rockland Coaches (Red & Tan Lines) will operate all routes, but with fewer trips than normal on express routes #45, #47 and #49 during morning and evening rush hours. Call (201) 263-1254 or go to www.coachusa.com/rockland for details.
- Coach USA ShortLine will operate five fewer trips during the morning and three fewer trips for the evening rush hours on the Coach USA Express route, which serves Manhattan from NYS Thruway Exit 14 Park & Ride. Call (800) 631-8405 or go to www.coachusa.com/shortline for details.
- Spring Valley Jitney buses will not operate.
- Rockland County’s TRIPS paratransit bus service will operate limited service.
