Black Bear Black Out Fallout

by curabad

Nyack, Oct 9: I’ve posted before about the behavior that takes place after hours in Nyack   I’m new to town, and have been surprised about what takes place on the streets, and even more surprised about the lack of action to do anything about it.

Just to give a concrete example….I was woken last night at 2:00 am to someone pushing loudly on my front door,  seemingly trying to break-in.  I had to call the police, who arrived very quickly and must have just missed the culprit, who left not only credit cards and other things from his wallet (through the mail-slot of my front door) but who felt the need to relieve himself on the side of the building by my front door.    The police were pretty sure they were’ drunk college kids’ and they stayed around for a while to make sure it didn’t happen again.

In short, they came from the Black Bear Saloon, there’s not another establishment in town that creates so much disruption for me personally and for the village collectively.

If you have any doubts about what kind of place the Black Bear is look at their new ad:

I have submitted a complaint online to the state liquor authority and I call on all other concerned citizens to do the same.

Here’s the link: http://www.abc.state.ny.us/register-a-complaint

For the money that we are paying to live in Nyack, this behavior is ridiculous.
