Going to college for an art major? You’re going to need an attention getting portfolio. RCC is offering high school juniors and seniors an art portfolio class for college admission beginning 10/1.
This course focuses on figure drawing, painting and mixed media will bridge the gap between the high school and college and help students move up to a four year school. With projects designed to enhance the students’ observation skills and creative thinking, this intensive course is geared toward highly motivated students.
Beginning October 1, SUNY/Rockland (Rockland Community College) offers this unique opportunity for high school juniors and seniors, college students and anyone else who needs a portfolio for art college admission.
The class is taught by Nyack native Elizabeth Sayles, an adjunct professor of Illustration at the School of Visual Arts in NYC and of Illustration & Cartooning at SUNY/Rockland She is an illustrator of more than 25 books for children as well and has worked for various clients including Disney, Delta Airlines, and Mattel.
