Sept 24: Cycling journalists from the New York Times and the Journal News will be the featured speakers at tonight’s meeting of the Westchester Putnum Bike Walk Coalition in Briarcliff Manor, NY. The Coalition has collected over 700 signatures on a petition urging officials to include bike paths on a new Tappan Zee Bridge.
The Westchester Biking & Walking Alliance is hoping to expand beyond its Westchester base to work with local biking & walking advocacy groups within every city, town and village in the Lower Hudson valley helping communities to create safe and convenient bicycle and foot paths for transportation and recreation.
Author Ben Cheever will moderate a brief discussion with Randall Wolf, who writes at ‘€œCycling Central’€, the Journal News cycling blog at LoHud.com, and David Goodman, who writes about cycling matters for the City Room blog at the New York Times.
