Think it’s hot outside? How about spending Friday night inside with Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt. It’s R rated!
The Piermont Library First Friday Film Series presents Babel on Friday 8/7 at 7:30p. It’s free and open to the public.
Babel connects four different families, apparently strangers to each other and sprawled across the globe from the Moroccan desert to San Diego to Tijuana to Tokyo. Their four interlocking stories slowly come together, tightening like an emotional vise into one thrilling, intensely moving conclusion.
The 2006 film, directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, stars Cate Blanchett, Brad Pitt, Gael Garcia Bernal, Rinko Kikuchi and Adriana Barraza, and was nominated for seven Oscars, winning one for its unforgettable score by Gustavo Santaolalla. It has an R rating — fitting for a steamy summer night.
