“Oh Hudson,” Sunday By The Hudson

Award-winning storyteller, musician, poet, actor and writer David Gonzalez performs “Oh Hudson,” a suite of historical and colorfully descriptive poems with music that commemorates the Hudson River’s Quadricentennial.

Divided into three parts, “Oh Hudson” begins with the geological wonder of the river valley and the early exploration and development, part two takes us into the industrial age and Fulton’s steam engine, the final section is part rant and part prayer for a river that was deeply wounded and is now on a path of recovery.

Oh Hudson is part of the Friends of the Nyacks’ Mostly Music Concert Series presented each summer Sunday at 5:30p in Memorial Park. In case of rain, Mostly Music moves indoors to the Nyack Center at the corner of S. Broadway & Depew in Nyack. Check out  www.friendsofthenyacks.org if the weather looks iffy anytime after 3p on Sunday.
