It’s LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! this Sat. June 20 at Kennedy Dells Park.
The Kennedy Park/Movie History Hike is a moderate walk that will be about three miles round trip.Though mostly level terrain, the walk can be rugged at times. Mostly, the walk will be easy with mostly flat, some wide and hard-packed surfaces and travel on some wooded trails. Sturdy shoes instead of sneakers are preferred. Walkers should meet at 10a in the main parking lot off North Main Street in New City, just south of the Historical Society. Cameras are welcome.
Guided walk participants should wear proper clothing and footwear (close-toed shoes) and bring water and sunscreen.
Walks are sponsored by the Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources, the Rockland County Youth Bureau’s AmeriCorps program and the Rockland County Department of Health’s Steps to a Healthier Rockland program.
Pre-registration for walks is recommended, but not required. To register for upcoming walks call 845-708-7307. For more information about the guided walks, additional walks, and park information visit www.rocklandsteps.org.
