County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef is the guest chef at Nyack Center’s annual Men Cooking fundraiser on Sunday, June 14th from 5p-8p. Vanderhoef will join more than 70 professional and amateur chefs including District Attorney-Thomas Zugibe, County Clerk-Paul Piperato, Nyack Mayor John Shields and Orangetown Supervisor Thom Kleiner.More than 70 local amateur & professional chefs are cooking at this year’s event. Guests will have an opportunity to sample a wide variety dishes prepared by chefs from around the area. Cook-off contestants will compete for a top honors as judged by the guests.
“The event gets better each year,” says Steven Cea, who has participated for the last five years. “There’s a great sense of community and the food is excellent.”
