“Spring Cleaning” in Nyack is taking it to the streets. Literally.
On Sat May 2nd sellers will take to the sidewalks as buyers and bargain hunters join in a Nyack village-wide yard sale on Sat May 2 from 9a-5p. In the event of rain, the event moves to Sunday May 3.
“This is a great chance to turn Nehru jackets, rock ‘n rock sweatshirts, record albums, college textbooks, old beanbag chairs, lincoln logs, beer cap birdhouses, old clothes into cold cash, ” says organizer Patti Aagaard of Reality Bites Cafe.
Main Street, between Cedar and Broadway will become a Pedestrian Walkway as merchants throughout Downtown Nyack on Main Street and Broadway will be displaying their own sale items on the sidewalk in front of their stores.
There will be a 24-hour FREE-CYCLE event following the yardsle. From 6p on Saturday through 6p on Sunday May 3, everything left on the curb can be picked up for FREE. Visit www.FreeCycle.org for more information.
The Downtown Nyack Village-Wide Yard Sale is sponsored by Nyack Merchants, Restaurant Row Rockland, Nyack Chamber of Commerce and the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority.
