The charter meeting of the Rockland Progressive Democratic Caucus (RPDC) will take place on April 29 @ 7 pm at the New City Library.
When the group met for the first time a few months back, we formed an ad hoc committee to draft a charter. Those on the committee have now completed this charter, and we’re confident it reflects those progressive ideals that attendees of the last meeting espoused. We will send out a copy of the charter to everyone currently on the listserv’€”along with a meeting agenda’€”in the next several days.
We will meet on the 29th to discuss the future of the RPDC and elect the organization’s officers. We will also begin to organize for the 2009 campaign season and would like to hear from those in attendance their thoughts on where this group should focus. We have some very important village, town, and county elections coming in the fall and we need to identify the critical races and issues and focus the energy of the RPDC.
