High School Artists help Mardi Gras

Nyack High School students, Tyrell Walker and Samantha Clowes, both freshman, were chosen for their winning submission for the 2009 Nyack Mardi Gras Logo Contest. Sophomore Taylor Soriano was announced as the first runner-up.

The winners were chosen from nine original contestants and were selected by members of the Mardi Gras committee made up of Riverspace, the Chamber of Commerce of the Nyacks, the Nyack Middle School PTA and members of Nyack’s Restaurant Row.

The winning submission is featured on the 2009 Mardi Gras t-shirts which will be available for purchase in certain shops around the village.
