Chamber of Commerce staying open for business

There has been a rumor going around town that the Nyack Chamber of Commerce is closing.  That isn’t true.

“The Chamber has been through a challenging financial period”, says Board President Bob Gunderson.  But in response the Chamber is not shutting down, but rather made some changes to reduce costs and has shifted its focus from events to promotion.

They are also moving their office, which may have started the rumor of their office closing.  Their new office will be 94 Main St. in Nyack, the second floor of the “Woolworth” building.

Stay tuned since the Chamber is soon to roll out their new website.  The new site will have a lot more interactive features to help build a business “community”. The Chamber will also improve the Kiosk next to Riverspace, as part of their new focus on promotion.
