Shore To Please and Power, Too

NJ has given a “green” light to a wind farm 16 miles off the Jersey shore. The $1 billion project hopes to produce up to 346 megawatts of power from 96 turbines enough to power “tens of thousands of homes” by 2013. The windmills will be placed off the coastline of New Jersey’s Atlantic and Ocean counties in a rectangle measuring 1/2 by 1/3 miles.
