The Tappan Zee Express has always made it easy to get from Rockland to the Metro North stations in Tarrytown and White Plains — if you have a short walk or easy drive to the bus stop. Now, there’s another way to connect with the TZx: ride your bike to the bus.
Beginning August 1, the TZx Bike-On-Bus Service will connect Rockland commuters to the Tarrytown train and Westchester county. Bikers can place their cycles in the luggage compartments of TZx buses on a ‘€œfirst come first serve’€ basis.
The TZx route serves takes customers to and from many biking destinations including the Old Croton Aqueduct, the Bronx River Pathway, New York State Bike Route 9, as well as commuter rail stations in Suffern, Spring Valley, Tarrytown, and White Plains.
