See and hear The Ukuladies, an old-timey female vocal quartet, perform cowboy love songs, popular tunes from the ‘30s & ‘40s, and a host of original hits with great harmonies and creative arrangements when GraceMusic kicks off its 45th season of “Great Music in a Great Space” on Oct 26 at 4p. The Ukuladies play the ukulele, the banjo, fiddles, kazoos, a pennywhistle, the harmonica, spoons, the musical saw and even the washboard.
The group is based in Brooklyn, and has performed widely in the NY metro area and beyond. The Albany Times Union calls them “zany, smart, musically spot-on and action-packed – endlessly charming, full of sass & spunk.”
Come check them out at 4p on Sun Oct 26 at Grace Church, 130 First Ave in Nyack. Admission is $20 (seniors $15; children under 12 free) and includes a meet-the-artists reception following concert. For more details visit GraceMusic.info or call 845-358-1297 ext. 16.
