Walking and Listening, Chapter II

by Richard Kavesh

You can rise and shine a little later Sunday morning.

I’ve had to push back Sunday’s Nyacks walk from a starting time of 9:00 A.M. to 10:00  A.M.  We’ll still meet in front of the Nyack Senior Building at 90 Depew and walk wherever you want to walk.

Sorry about the confusion, but attendance is purely optional and there will be no quiz afterwards (except possibly to see how many items from John Gromada’s list you can remember without having to look).

P.S. You should have been with me for this morning’s walk around Rockland Lake. I got there just as the sun was coming over the hill, so there was a haze over the lake that was something out of “Brigadoon.” As the sun rose higher, the mist grew thicker until the lake grew almost invisible even from the walking trail and then the sun burned away the mist to reveal the clear, calm lake and the colorful foliage. Magical (but what a time to have left my camera in school over the weekend).

Hope to see you Sunday morning at 10a!
