Romp’s Day In Court Is Thursday

Photo Credit: Sean Jones PhotoRomp Store owner Carol McIlmurray returns to court on 7/30 to respond to four counts issued by Nyack’s Building and Fire Department’s last month. The store has been closed since it opened briefly on July 4th, although painting of the facade has continued intermittently.

McIlmurray writes on her blog that she has suffered from “serious health issues… due to the stress of fighting the village of Nyack, the nasty comments from people who hate art, and not having much support from family or friends.”

Romp faces several thousands dollars in fines for opening without a fire permit.
